Course curriculum

    1. is the client ready

This training unpacks the concept of "readiness" for therapy, challenging counsellors to reflect on how their modalities or dominant norms may shape interpretations of client engagement. We explore how these frameworks can hinder progress when preconceptions dictate what readiness or therapeutic engagement "should" look like. The training explores the idea of progress and invites a reframe of therapeutic resistance—not as a hurdle to overcome, but as a meaningful and valid part of the journey toward self-discovery and autonomy. This session offers practical tools to work collaboratively with clients wherever they are in their therapeutic journey.
